This geeky announcement brought to you by...

...Battlestar Galactica. [If you're not watching this series you should go hang your head in shame, now.]

I just realised something momentous: I AM DONE WITH HAVING CLASSES!! I am! Never ever again, vet classes are done, forever and ever!

*faints*

In honour of this realisation and the joy that goes with it - no more labs! No more dull lectures! No more hospital shifts, papers, presentations, random evaluation (well, apart from some exams maybe) - I bring you Gaeta's Lament. Background: Gaeta has just had his leg amputated and he sings to try and take his mind off the phantom pain. I was unprepared for the ballad, and for his voice, beauty can strike rather forcefully, I kept replaying it and even snagged the first bit from the video and I still listen to it throughout the day, it's just so gorgeous and ties in so beautifuly with the whole episode - ties it together, actually. Turns out Allessandro Juliani had opera lessons, bless. Some kind, geekier soul has finally managed to create an mp3 out of the video segments and this is why you can hear instruments beeping and his voice is strained at times, the poor sod's in pain. I cannot wait for the soundtrack to be out!

V. no sympathy here. Don't talk to me abt this week's episode, it's been downloading for 48h now, usually it takes only abt 5, I'm dying!! Especially after the last, dull one. Good ovaries make me happy, what?

Boulder, hi! It bloody well has hasn't it.

Q., thanks! I was as well, had a huge crush on Apollo (eh, not ageing well, sadly). I suppose that makes me old too!

Large, mushy congratulations, dahling. It feels like it's been centuries, doesn't it?
